“Having a post here helps bring veterans together in a community, so we can tell our stories to people we feel comfortable talking with, and it also gives veterans the opportunity to go from doing very unique things that maybe aren’t applicable to the outside world, to learning a new trade so you can blend in with the rest of the society. For some of us it’s easy to transition out of the military, for others it’s really difficult, so going to school is a plus, and having a post in the school, a place to go to, gives us a much greater opportunity for success.”
