Nursing

The Nursing Program is a two-year course of study that allows students to complete an Associate Degree in Nursing, gain RN licensure and employment, and transition seamlessly to the University of Wyoming for their senior year completion of a bachelor’s degree. The curriculum is part of the statewide nursing curriculum known as Revolutionizing Nursing Education in Wyoming (ReNEW).  ReNEW is designed as a baccalaureate curriculum with an ADN benchmark, allowing students to sit for the NCLEX-RN (licensure exam) after the fourth semester.

Our small class sizes and experienced faculty provide students with the individualized attention they need to succeed. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects and internships. If you are interested in a career in Nursing, Gillette College is a great option.

Why Choose the Gillette College Nursing Program?

  • Experienced faculty: Gillette College is fortunate to have not only qualified nurse educators but also nurse educators who bring with them a breadth of industry experience, which helps ensure student success.
  • Small class sizes: Our small class sizes allow for more individualized attention. Students have the opportunity to ask questions and get help from the instructor when they need it.
  • Supportive clinical partners: We have healthcare partners throughout the community and state that partner with us to offer a wide variety of hands-on clinical experiences.
  • High job placement rates: Students can find employment in a variety of healthcare settings regionally and nationally. The graduating class of 2023 had 100% job placement.
