Built around 360-degree photographs taken on an operating Mine Site, this program is designed to teach situational awareness when working around large equipment.  The student first “sits” in the cab of a piece of mining equipment, and then “steps out” to see all the hazards not observable from the operator’s seat.  The effect is a heightened awareness of the dangers involved when working around large equipment and their larger blind spots.

Developed in cooperation with Arch Coal Company, this program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the pre-trip inspection.  Users will complete an inspection sheet on several vehicles, learning about downable and non-downable items, handling of aerosols and flammables, and the impacts on auxiliary equipment on vehicle serviceability.  A great introduction to pre-trip / pre-shift inspections for the new employee.

In this program, students are introduced to the basics of fall protection.  Combining video training and virtual reality gameplay, this multi-media program provides a virtual “hands-on” experience.  First, students learn how to inspect and select their personal protective equipment.  Next, they are introduced to inspection and operation of a standard scissor lift.  Finally, they must complete a task, combining all the skills they have learned throughout the programs.  The perfect program for introducing fall protection concepts to those who are new to this type of work.
